1000+ Free Elementor Templates

The wonderful people of Envato have created a free WordPress plugin for Elementor that provides a stack of new templates that may interest you.

See the sliders for just 5 examples.

Envato Elements is made by the company behind the ThemeForest  marketplace.  The real beauty is that the templates are grouped by the market (ie, Garden Services) but a consistency is maintained throughout the templates so different templates can be used for different pages keeping the same look-and-feel.

This page was created using one of the new Gardening templates to prove how easy it is to choose a template and then change to meet your needs

News from Elementor

Congratulations Elementor again!

3 million websites built with Elementor and counting.  And only 6 months since their 2 millionth website.

There are many good reasons for why Elementor is the market leading page builder and Dynamiser can see 3 million reasons why you should join the party.

More Icons

Elementor have announced support for Font Awesome Version 5 which now provides 5,300+ icons available for all of your website designs.

In addition support for importing Icon sets from Icomoon and Fontastic, as well as the existing Fontello services.

And don’t forget custom Icons can also be added should they be needed.

Invisible Security

Elementor have announced support for Google’s reCAPTCHA version 3.  Known as the invisible security, it means genuine web site users can interact, with your web site, without the constant clicking of the “I am not a Robot” check box. But suspicious robots are still seen and contact blocked.

Congratulations Elementor

Elementor have won Torque’s 2019 Plugin contest.  The voting organised by Torque, a leading WordPress magazine, pitched Elementor against all the popular plugins and Dynamiser’s preferred builder of choice came out top.  See for more about Torque

New Motion Effects

Elementor has always had one missing function compared to other lesser page builders: Motion Effects.  No Longer.  Introducing new effects based on the visitor scrolling or swiping down and up a page as well as objects moving around a page mirroring the movement of the mouse.  When used well these effects are great for drawing the eye to important parts of a page, adding interactivity to engage visitors and adding depth to existing 2D images and other elements of a page.  They include

  • Vertical Scroll (sometimes known as a Parallax effect) – an object moves down or up the page as the user scrolls
  • Horizontal Scroll – an object moves left or right as the user scrolls
  • Transparency – an object become transparent or solid as the user scrolls
  • Blur – an object blurs or becomes clear as the user scrolls
  • Rotate – an object rotates left or right as the user scrolls
  • Scale – an object grows or shrinks as the user scrolls
  • 3D Tilt – an object tilts left or right as the mouse is moved (only available on the desktop)
  • Track – an object moves around a page as the mouse is moved (only available on the desktop)

Addition of free Popup feature

Until now popups have always been possible through various WordPress Plugins.  Some free and some that may incur additional cost for advanced integration.  Some of these can be seen on the Dynamiser Inspiration pages.  Elementor have now added the functionality directly into Elementor Pro so all the great features at no additional cost and all fully integrated with all the other great features of Pro giving more power to how your Popups are displayed.

As an example there is always a trade-off with Popups, they are great for the site owner, especially for marketing.  But they can be seen as a nuisance for visitors and even reduce further visits to your site resulting in loss of business.  The advanced control of how and when the popups are seen can be fine-tuned so that a happy ground can be found and visitors targeted with popups correctly without them becoming a negative.  As an example, show the popup only when a visitor arrives on a page for a third time, by now they are likely to be serious about using your services or purchasing a product and so a popup can serve to further encourage that engagement.

Included are many templates that Dynamiser customers can choose from to help create great popups with ease, or let Dynamiser create custom popups to hit the mark.

Just some of the many popup templates available

And the good news keeps on coming; the folks at Envato have created 100’s of more popup templates for Elementor Pro.  Many have been integrated into the full page templates.  (See Envato news on this page)

Enhance your images

Elementor have pushed the barriers of Web Design Builders by introducing two new features

  • Filter Effects
  • Blend Modes

These allow designers to enhance any image and text without the need for specialist tools such as Photoshop.

Colour Blends and a gradient used to make a special image

Dynamiser can make the most of your images to make a real impression on your customers

It's OK to dream, dream bigger with our new range of soft rugs.

Elementor often take a look at customer websites created using their page builder and have come up with a list of top 10 sites created with Elementor Pro.

Marketing Tools

Elementor have recently provided 4 new widgets for designers to easily add Marketing features to any website.  See how Countdowns, Reviews and Ratings can work for you on the Dynamiser Inspiration page.

Action Links

Action links are a great way to allow your visitors, new customers and old, to engage directly with you, instantly removing the need for lots of scrolling and clicking through your site looking for the traditional email, phone, map information.  Working well from a mobile phone, the links use modern apps such as WhatsApp and Waze as well as other phone functionality such as phone, email and calendar.   Elementor have added functionality to allow web developers to easily plug into the communication tools your business needs to have that competitive edge.

Gutenberg by WordPress

A new Page Builder is on its way.  This time WordPress themselves are creating the builder and named it after Johannes Gutenberg, the German printer, and publisher who introduced printing to Europe with the printing press in the 1500’s.  What does this mean for builders like Elementor and ultimately the customers that Web Designers are creating sites for?  The good news is that it is free, the not so good is that, at time of writing, it is nowhere near as feature rich as the established page Builders such as Elementor.

Gutenberg will work well with WordPress Themes and therefore Blog sites but what about non-blog websites now being created on WordPress with builders such as Elementor? Time will tell.

But for the customer competition is great, the more competition then the more focus on continual development to create the best builder.  More features mean better websites.  Gutenberg is due by the end of 2018 but at the moment Dynamiser recommends Elementor for the time being.

Elementor themselves are taking it as a positive, here is what they have said (

Elementor VS PLUS Gutenberg

Since many of our users are anxious and confused concerning Gutenberg, this is a good opportunity to discuss Gutenberg, Elementor, and how we see the future and co-existence of each editor.

In the future, will Gutenberg replace Elementor?

The answer is simple – absolutely not!

At Elementor, it has been our ongoing mission to provide the fastest, easiest and most useful way to build and design websites. This is what has driven us since Elementor first launched, over two and a half years ago, and will continue to guide us in the future.

Fortunately, a huge following of people share our vision and have helped make our vision come true.

Elementor was launched in a saturated market, with many page builder and website builder alternatives. We managed to become the leaders of our market by offering the best solution, and we plan to continue to lead the way.

We will continue in our mission in full collaboration with WordPress.”

Elementor Blocks for Gutenberg

A new WordPress Plugin was announced on the 22nd October 2018.  Instead of competing, Elementor are happy to enhance Gutenberg developers experiences with the use of Elementor Blocks.  Blocks are essentially Gutenberg’s way of creating a section within a page, by adding an Elementor block Elementor functionality can be added directly without the need to open with Elementor.  Great collaborative thinking!

News from SiteGround

Performance improvements

SiteGround is a great website host provider (see the Dynamiser Technology page for more information).  Recently they announced changes to their SG Optimizer Plugin which is free for all users on any WordPress hosting plan.  The plugin has been around for some time and has always been great at optimising the web pages at the web server so that the pages are delivered to your customers as quickly as possible.

Now they have added to this with some great additional optimisation

  • Image optimisation – reduce the size of all images as they, when placed on the site so downloading, is quicker.
  • Lazy Loading – only load images as the visitor scrolls down and reaches the image instead of downloading all images as the page opens.
  • Minification of the code that is used to display your pages.
  • Greater compression of all page content prior to download to the browser.

Few providers offer such optimisation free of charge and all this on top of fast WordPress servers based in the UK.

Making Sites QUIC

Helping to make your websites load faster wherever the visitor may be

Quic is a new Internet method to aid websites load faster when accessed via slow connections, such as rural locations in the UK or abroad, or via phone in non 4G spots.  SiteGround have updated all their web servers to support Quic which is a great benefit to all their customers.

For the more geeky: Quic started as an acronym for the new HTML3 format but has now been officially adopted as the name outright.  Life for web pages started as HTML1 but as the internet grew there was a need for faster speed and security and so HTML2 was created, and SiteGround have supported since 2015.  HTML3 takes performance further, designed to make websites load faster where slow connections.  Instead of trying to market the term “HTML3”, Quic was adopted.  If you want to be even more geeky check out the Wikipedia page.  To see more from Siteground then click here.

Benefits of using WordPress and Elementor - So say Freemius

Freemius are a WordPress Plugin and Theme developer (see  Historically they have used non-WordPress/Page Builder technology to maintain their own website until recently they decided to give Elementor a go and have not looked back.  The major plus for them is the ease at which changes to their site can be made, one of the major benefits of using Dynamiser to create and maintain your site.  Click below to see the Case Study put together by Elementor.
