A Lightbox is a great way to bring smaller images to life.  On a page with limited space for lots of large images a lightbox can be used to display a larger image temporarily so the visitor gets more detail, the “bigger picture”. Or, take it the next step and create a video and show off the item even better.

The normal lightbox that all web users are used to seeing is the standard bigger image.  For example, click on the left-hand small image of the summer dress and a larger image will appear. The size of the image can be from slightly larger than the web page image up to full screen.  Click on the right-hand small image to see a different image of the same dress.
